Holy crap, something horrible just happened to the site when I attempted to update it. I’m trying my best to fix this. If ANYONE can help, PLEASE message me.
I’ve added new comics and illustrations to my Gallery! Well, technically none of them are “new”, but I’ve finally scanned them and cleaned them up. Enjoy!
So yeah, unfortunately no new page today. Hopefully this won’t become a habit, but I’m still stranded on Shelter Island. However, I am doing what I promised, and posting the seven-page comic BRAINSTORM in the Comic Art section of the Contact/Gallery page. Hopefully it makes up for those hoping to see more hilarious child-abuse and mental scarring today.
Yeah, unfortunately, I won’t be able to update this week. The page is actually penciled, but I won’t able to ink or scan it this friday. I’m doing work out on Shelter Island right now, and there’s really no convenient way to upload it without buying a $20 train ticket out of Greenport back into the city. Plus, this job has to be done by the end of this week.
HOWEVER, finishing work out here will allow me the time and space to work on the comic and do some job hunting with relative comfort for the next few months. So it’s for the best in the long run. To compensate, however, I’ll upload my seven page story BRAINSTORM onto the Comics section this Friday, and possibly update two days in a row next week.
Hey all! I’m adding a new comic to the Comic Art section and updating the Storyboards page. But mainly, I want to give everyone a heads-up that I’ll be at SVA’s mini comic-convention, Fresh Meat, over on the West Side in the 21st Street Building. Check me out along with Eric Arroyo and Kou Chen as well as a buttload of amazing artists. I’ll be selling poster prints of some of my illustration and fan work, as well as two minis;
After Uruk: Tablets I-III is a combination of my Junior Thesis and my Senior Portfolio piece, and something I eventually hope to publish as a seven-part graphic novel. This near-60 page comic is a post-apocalyptic retelling of the Epic of Gilgamesh, primarily revolving around the taming and education of Enkidu and Gilgamesh’s meeting with Ishtar.
Brainstorm is an anthology comic of my work over the past year. This 34-pager contains alot of work featured in the comics section of this site, along with the titular 7-page story, and the first 11 pages of Hardcase McCorman. So you’ll get to see a single page that won’t be published until next Friday. Real big incentive, huh?
